Bottled. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of vegetables and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of berries and wood, the berries giving it a slight acidic edge, leading to a dry finish.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Bierkönig. Pours a cloudy, light brown with an orange hue and a small, light brown head. Intense aroma of burned caramel. Quite full-bodied, lots of sweet caramel and spicy ginger accents. Quite a nice one. 280907

750ml bottle. Aroma: Rich maltiness with a brown sugar and caramel note. Dark fruits and raisins, with a bit of grapeiness. Chocolate and anise. Some earthy notes as it warms. Appearance: Dark brown in color. Medium beige head was full and creamy with great retention. Good lacing. Flavor: Roasted malt with notes of coffee, chcolate, anise, brown sugar, and bread. Yeast and pepper. Huge dark fruit, with raisins as the star. Alcohol is there, but not unpleasant. A light tartness into the finish. Medium dry finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Really enjoyed this. Well crafted and delicious from beginning to end.

Bought at Port Solana Beach. Rather mild pour, slight head, some alcohol burn on the first sips, sweet malt, dark fruits, some earth, Bitter Krauter flavor, enjoyed the flavor, but abit harsh alcohol there, still nice though.
