Bottle smuggled back from San Diego. Nice aroma of smoked and roasted malt. Cloudy brownish color with a decent tan head. The raisins come out a bit in the flavor with a slight sweetness. The bret is subtle and I wouldn’t have noticed it if you hadn’t told me. Nice smooth big beer. Really enjoyed this one.

750 mL corked bottle - hazy deep brown color with smallish off white head. Cork popped open with surprisingly little force - not nearly the carbonation I’ve come to expect from belgain ales. Aroma has fair amount of darkly roasted caramel, burnt raisens and figs, hint of light coffee and chocolate, along with subtle notes of red grapes, pear, and a touch of brett-like tartness. Flavor is malty, faintly roasty, fair amount of chewy malts, light caramel, raisens and chocolate, bit of vinegar tartness, with a slightly sweet finish. A very nice and interesting brew. Not quite sure how to catergorize this one, a touch of brett tartness that is subtle, and probably would increase with age, but adds a nice lightness to the brew, but also does not necessarily go with the belgain strong dark category. Almost a style onto itself.

Bottle: Pours a dark almost opaque brown. The head is thin and ivory. Raisins, toffee and caramel dominate the nose and my pour is still cold. The taste is largely raisin, chocolate with some alcohol. I have a lingering finish on this beer with a pleasant mouth feel. This is a much bigger beer than the Lost and Found on a number of levels.

Poured a clear dark amber-brown color with a thin beige head. Yeasty aroma with darm fruits and some sweetness. Estery malt flavor with a dry finish and mild-moderate bitterness. Decent warming sensation.

Huge thick, raisiny aroma with accents of creamy caramel and a hint of alcohol. The Brett yeast not that noticeable, taste was creamy dark fruit ,raisin, date, caramel and molassas, a smooth rich taste, but lacking the complexity to make it a real winner. Aroma promises more than taste delivers. Thanks Kingpin

dark brown colour with a tan head that was pretty big and the fine bubbles stuck around. Slight fruit and banana aroma. There is a lot of yeast in the flavor and some alcohol at the end. Some more fruit and a bit of banana.
