Shared by the Kind hearted DrBayern (don’t tell any one. He’ll Keeel Yhouuu!!!). Shared with Uncle Steve, The Celticbrew and Brian the beer Pimp. It has a sweet alcoholy aroma. Pours a dark brown with a lacy edge. The flavor is interesting, somewhat fruity with the raisens, sweet. You even get some of the Cherry showing through. You can taste the alcohol! Nice mouthfeel. hombrepalo (780), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Easist to open corked beer I’ve ever had.
Pours deep brown, almost black with light brown head.
Nose is like the nougat in a 3 musketeers bar.
Palate is nougat sweet, with some alcohol warmth and dark bread flavours. Definately belgian resemblance but not quite up to par.
Finish is long and a tad alcoholic. dagimp (134), Philly, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2009 On tap at TJ’s Everyday. Pours a dark black with a little bit of head which dissipates quickly leaving no lacing. Smells sweet and roasty with some smoke and a little funk. Mouthfeel is medium to thick and sticky. Taste is roasty and pretty sweet. It tasted like a cross between a Belgian and a porter/stout. Mild coffee taste with smoke and yeast built in. A very interesting beer and a great treat but I wouldn’t drink it on a regular basis. Steib (579), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Very nice dark color. Smooth mellow flavor with hints of dark roast. Expected a more robust aroma but just a slively. Somewhat acidic texture still a smooth mellow flavor. Finishes mild not too strong. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Bottled. The aroma has dark, ripe fruits, raisin malts and spice. Hazy, dark brown coloured beer with a lasting, medium, off-white head. The taste is sweet, malty, raisiny, quite fruity with dark fruits. It has some cinnamon and cardemom. Full bodied, complex and balanced. Though I’m not a big fan of the spices used, this is most definately worth a try. noncaloric (625), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 3, 2009 2008 bottling, if I recall correctly thanks to LtDan for the trade. Dark brown pour, frothy tan head sticks around, leaves a good lacing. Generally malty aroma harmonized with a yeasty funk and penetrating aromatics. Flavor is strongly aromatic, sprucy, I assume this is the rosemary coupling nicely with the alcohol here, vinous dry white wine character abound. Underneath that is an understated chocolate malt presence. Brett is present but far from dominant in this complex beer. Medium body, refreshing in spite of the abv, very lively, penetrating on the palate. Fred82 (401), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Nose has some brett and fruits. Some yeast and spices as well. Taste is a bit sour with some alcohol, brett and spices. Quite a lot of alcohol on the finish. Very warming. A bit lactic and oaky. Some funk also.
