Bottle from NFLMVP, thanks! Very oaky, lightly red wine aroma is really nice at first but quickly becomes one dimensional and boring. Very dry, lots of oak in the flavor and a crude mineraliness that ruins the palate. A little but of cherry and grape at this beers only saving "grace." It seemed awesome when I first opened it, but quickly became entirely one dimensional and lacking in any real interesting flavors. Hard oak and nothing but.

Pours a hazy amber red color with a tan head. Aroma is fruity, funky, winey, and woody. Flavor is caramel, winey, fruity, some funk, and a dry tart finish.

Pours a dark reddish brown with yellow highlights and a large long lasting off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly tart. Lots of red wine and oak coming through, along with an earthy mustardy tart quality that I assume comes from some sort of wild yeast, a bit of cloves, old fruit, and the slightest bit of almonds and vanilla behind that (if you poured a bit of yeast in). Tastes of oak, quickly followed by nutty woody tartness, a bit of hay, grass, mustard/vinegar, cherries. Finishes woody dry and nutty, a bit of lingering wild yeast remains to finish things out. Medium bodied, creamy, high carbonated, but not out of hand. Very nice texture. I’m actually in disbelief that this is still the Lost and Found, because it tastes more like a wild saison, or a Jolly Pumpkin beer (milder brett presence, but it’s still there). Very very good and versatile beer.

Pour is a dark brownish red with a decent off white head. Aroma is tart fruit, woody, flowery and a touch of spice. Flavor is tart with a bit of vinegar. A little of the oak aging comes through as well. Pretty dry. Nice, smooth drinker. Medium body.

Pours a reddish brown in color with a huge, fluffy head. Smell is fruity wine, and yeast. The regular Lost and Found just wasn’t my cup of tea. However, aging it in wine barrels seems to have done the trick. It adds a dimension of fruit wine and some oakiness. I’m really enjoying this beer. Creamy and smooth on the mouth. A real easy, enjoyable drinker. The last part of the bottle is a yeastie bomb! If you’re not a fan, keep the last part of the beer in the bottle.

750 bottle thanks to the Patron Saints club-thanks guys! Pours dark brown and very carbonated with a thick white head. Nose is sour (strange for a dubbel), spicy, perfumy, malty, raisiny. Taste is very sour/bitter, not would you consider a traditional dubbel taste. Barrel aging comes through but is not overwhelming A bit alcoholy and viscous and surprisingly a bit thin on the finish. But overall a very nice, tasty beer. Glad I’ve got another in the cellar.

This one already has a good bit of brett character and it’s not even that old yet. Fairly dry, the bottle was a bit of a foamer. Not as much malt character in the flavor, but plenty of yeasty funk.

Bottle shared by Styles. Murky toffee/caramel sediment-laden body, medium cream head. Caramely aroma with pineapple and oak notes. Tart, funky body, with oak and caramel, toast, and spice. Some sharp dark fruits. Spicy and bready. Oak and tart notes dominate the flavor profile. Medium-bodied. Not stellar but still good.
