Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 22, 2008 Bottled - tasted blind. An unclear amber-brown beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet combined with some acidity and notes of fruit and black currant. The aroma is sweet with an underlying acidity and notes of woood, berries, and brettanomyces. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2008 Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Cloudy dark amber with very lively but brief head. Floral vinous and oaky nose with some higher alcohols. Fresh and lively with notes of cherry. dark chocolate and peppery alcohol. Feesl surprisingly light for it’s size, due to it’s liveliness. Complex but non-assaulting. Excellent! Papsoe (10517), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 26, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of fordest. Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy, cappuchinoish beige head. Tart, Brettish nose - very vinous. Medium body with vinous sweet’n’sour caramel and lots of dried fruit. Discreet bitterness. What a wonderful complexity. Knowing that this was labelled as an Abeey Dubbel I thought it was infected! But it’s not, it’s just wondefully barrel-aged, and it’s really more resembling a Flemish Sour. Someone please remove that Abbey Dubbel tag - it’s terribly misleading. 190408 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 24, 2008 Muddy red-brown colour. Dar fruit and light alcohol. Fairly vinous woody character. Deep and complex. Fruity with rich raisiny depth and a dry alcohol finish. Complex and delicious. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 20, 2008 Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #17: Pours hazy brown with a lacing slight off-white head. Light fruity acidic aroma. Flavour is light orange peel and citric/acidic. Light sweet caramel malt beneath. Light sweet caramel flavour and light acidic into the finish. Nice.
