doubleo (765), San Diego, California, USA Feb 9, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy brown color with red highlights. Thin white head that fades pretty quick but hangs around as a film of thin bubbles on the top of the brew. Very complex nose. Smells spicy, with red wine and oak.
Tastes complex as well. Tastes of spicy, dry red wine and oak, with some cherries in the aftertaste. The taste gets maltier as the brew warms. Medium body, nice carbonation, not too much, just right. This beer is like drinking a nice spicy, dry red wine. Nice slow drinkin’ complex brew.
