Made me feel like being in France where the style orginitated. And it’s not a bad example. Sweetish but lovely aroma. Golden colour, white head, good lace. Sweetish, malty, citrus and light hoppy. Hight drinkability, nice balance. whartonbrewer (30), , Pennsylvania, USA

Wheaty grain nose with faint lemon/orange zest. Vanilla cookie malt flavor up front with white pepper, muddy yeasts, and fresh cut hay. Earthy, mildly alcoholic finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2009 On tap at LA, pours a slightly fogged gold amber. Nose is like woody apples. Strong sweet tone is there too. Flavor is a tangy wood. Almost like this was aged in some type of wooden barrel. Feel is thick on carbonation and typical on liquid. This one is pretty well made though and is even and consistent. If you’re into biere de garde style, give it a shot. dig it it’s pretty decent! garthicus (1307), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
