Commercial Description:
From the French word "Garde" meaning something worth keeping, this Farmhouse Styled Ale is a most delicious companion to a loaf of freshly baked bread from the oven. Grab a seat on the porch, some soft cheese and a tree ripened apple from your grandmother's old orchard. Relax and watch the evening arrive as the afternoon sun is consumed by the illuminating moon over the gardens. We brewed Avant Garde for you, our friends and families. Here's to things worth guarding over. http://www.lostabbey.com

A hazy orange beer with a thick orange head. The aorma is sweet spicy - especially coriander, but also lighter notes of peaches. The flavor is sweet fruity - especially peaches, leading to a dry lightly spiced end. The body is thin, and all in all I find it a bit boring.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of IrishBoy. Slightly hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Fruity and spicy nose. Medium body with very fruity notes, lightly sweet malt and perhaps a touch of honey. The finish though is dominated by a brutal and very astringent bitterness which is far from pleasant. 180607
