Brouwer’s Tap (a few months ago). Beautiful golden amber with lush pillowy white head. Extremely refreshing taste, crisp dry with gorgeous citrus and yeast. Tart, short finish. Extremely refined.

Bottle from 5000. Aww yeah. Beautiful pour, huge white head and quite cloudy. Spicy hay nose, very floral, peachy, mild. Flavor is deep and complex, but mellow, thick with yeast, unsweetened chocolate, lavender. Very easy on the palate while retaining a great body. Carbonation is perfect. This is a wonderful saison. Doesn’t seem like it would age well, though.

Sampled at the brewery for RBSG 08. Clear gold with a small, white head. Aroma of tart apple juice, spices, and malt. Taste is crisp, of bitter hops, spices, and a lot of fruit. Lingering tart fruit flavors. Interesting and tasty.

Sampled at Lost Abbey during RBSG. Hazy yellow with little head. Aromas were spicy with some citrus. Flavors were more spice with a touch of tart on the finish. Pretty good.

Draft... RBSG ‘08... Cloudy, straw-colored ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is all about spicy, herbal, peppery notes with a drop of honey. Medium to full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is little herbal and spicy and just a touch funky. Medium sweetness alongside mild acidity and moderate bitterness. Lengthy, mildly bitter, very lightly acidic, drying finish.

750ml bottle from Travisd13. This beer rules. All Saisons should be made this way because otherwise they’re boring. Pours cloudy yellow with a fizzy, white head, some lace. Smells citrusy and funky with some slight straw scents as well. Tastes sweet and funky with slight citrus. Spicy, earthy and citrusy, nice. Medium body, good carbonation.
