Sampled during the RBSG Tasting. This saison poured a yellow straw color from the bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, yeasty and bretty. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy, floral and spicy. Kind of hoppy for a saison. A little sweeter and fruitier than Ne Goeien, but its balanced with a nice mild funkiness and spiciness. The brett character is there, but its not overpowering. Lively carbonation. Crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly spicy and a touch funky.

Jan 4, 2009 Rating #1900. 750ml bottle. Thanks to Pantanap for sharing this rare gem. pours hazy gold with white head. nose of mint, herbs, hay, and some funky cheese. flavors of mint, clove, biscuit, floral, and funk. med body, really reminds me of GI Matilda more than any other beer.

Nov 27, 2008 Cloudy golden hue poured from a bottle at Obriens rare bottle tasting. Nice white head. Citrus, funk, and yeastiness. Solid bitter dry finish. Nice Saison.

grapefruit and pineapple juice nose, very light on the funk....
strong flavors. pineapple and citrus and dry but not as bone dry as the squatters. lively carbonation and mouthfeel. not spiced up as much which is a general change of pace from other american saisons....

Nov 20, 2008 Pours clear gold with a white film on top. Toasty nose, honey, bacon, nutmeg and other spices. Interseting taste that was full but still light. Honey ham, pineapple, lemon sugar blended with the brett. Took on a tripel-like flavor with funk and orange peel towards the end of the glass.

Nov 19, 2008 Bottle at GABF 2008. Cloudy yellow - white head. Straw, honey, wheat, funky, flowery, sulfor, flat, citrus, nice hoppy, light sourness, light brett, yeasty. OK.
