Big ups to Drewbeerme for bringing this, like Holdenn said I never actually dreamed I was going to be able to try this beer, thanks Andrew. Very hazy orange, lazy small white head. So funky, earthy, yeasty, slight sweet fruit aroma. Flavor is sour funk, that hits you in the back of the throat at first but substantially mellows at as it warms up, orange, sweet, dirty, slightly acidic, leathery, very drinkable and interesting american styling at a classic style. Medium body and pretty creamy, slightly acidic. Easily drinkable, wish it were more acidic, seemed to fade a little fast as it warmed, very complex. holdenn (1441), Chicago, Illinois, USA

How amazing is it when andrew gets this beer, he immediately wants to drink only 1/4th of it, b/c he’d rather share. I never even hoped I could try this one. But here goes. Pours a cloudy orange with a white soapy head. Funky sour yeasty notes are the foremost notes. Layered in subtle complexities with yeast spices, medicinal notes, sweet undertones, and old cheddar cheese. Tart yeasty flavors. Orange, lemon, bretty, hop resin/grapefruit resin and flesh. Leathery flavors that become more tropical and grapefruity as it warms. Long slow finish with earthy notes covering the tongue. Not acidic at all. I was expecting more sour/acidic notes, but this is really drinkable. Extremely complex in subtle ways. Maybe not due the hype it received, but a really good beer. drewbeerme (2274), Chicago, Illinois, USA

The bottle pours very thick looking, such a dense beer, cannot see through it at all. I don’t know what it is but there are little black specks that settle at the bottom of the glass. I was also highly surprised this was a yellow/golden beer, just always imagined this to be a red hued brew. There is a minimal head that quickly fades into nothing. Aroma is light sour with peaches and faint strawberry. Light sour, light fruit but thick and pasty. Tastes is lightly acidic, faintly sour with a white grape/doughy sweetness. Just leave an extremely faint acidity on the cheeks. A medium heavy body that is felt on the cheeks. Its a nice beer, not nearly as sour as I would want it to be. Maybe time will bring out some more sourness and dry it out a bit. 750mL cork and cage, Cantillon small rounded wine glass.
Almost a year old, shared by mreusch. Pretty much the same, lasting well, thats worth something, I’ll raise the overall score a bit. Cletus (5055), Connecticut, USA

Tastes tarte with some sugary hints. Some grassy tinges and citrussy touches are also there. Decent, but not a top 50 beer. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA

Very yeasty, funky, smelly cheese aroma. Wheat and lemon aromas are strong. Lemony flavor is quite thin, lacking in carbonation and body. Wheaty and grassy. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
