Aromas of oranges and lighter fruits like apricot and cherries or raspberries. A good funk arises as the head slowly collapses. Medium plus body with creamy smooth carbonation. There is kandi, citrus, berry and something like noble hop grassiness. It seems sweet, but then you realize it’s very dry. The funk is rather mild, but certainly is the major interest, right next to the hop. There’s also some clovey yeast spice which is more noticeable toward the finish. It is quite drinkable and most excellent. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Poured from a 750ml caged and corked bottle and served in a tulip. This poured a hazy golden orange with a two-finger thick head of off-white foam that slowly faded into a ring. Excellent lacing. The aroma included lemon zest, oranges, sugary fruits and berries, and also some corriander and light spice. The flavor was dry, moderately bitter, and quick to finish. Notes of orange, lemon, and pear provided a light sweetness that was abrubtly cut of by the hops and dryness. Some lightly spicy yeast also comes through. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had light, tingly carbonation. A decent saison. Highly drinkable, but not amazing. arrogantb (712), Denver, Colorado, USA

Smells rustic and reminds me of red barn. Taste is very similar to red Barn with a candy sweetness to it. Decent beer but after having Ne Goien this just doesn’t do it for me.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a 1 inch white head, that doesnt last too long. Aromas of spice, corriander, yeast, slight hop presence, banana, and clove. Flavors are very much the same. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. kramer (2489), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2008 25 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold body with a nice frothy billowy white head. Lots of heavy lacing left. Nice honey and wheat nose with touches of yeast and farmhouse funk. A little perfumy hoppiness. Very refreshing yet soft flavor with wheat, yeast, and a little honey sweetness. A little bit of yeast derived spiciness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a little too much thickness and doughy stickiness on the finish for a Saison. Nice soft carbonation. Pretty decent, but a bit too heavy for the style to me.
