| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 17, 2008 Slightly cloudy light gold with a modest layer of creamy white foam that sustains well. Aroma is sweet grains, light citrus, pepper, spices, light fruits (bananas), and yeast. Flavor is initially pale malts, grains, and yeast with sweet pears and bananas, transitions to grassy hops and slightly acidic citrus, then onward to pepper, spices, and herbs with a drying, yeasty finish. Palate is fairly full with moderate-high carbonation. Overall, a good saison with a slight imbalance of spices and yeast, will revisit next year when Tomme tweaks the recipe. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA
