Commercial Description:
For centuries Venetians lightened the dark of winter with an elaborate upending of social order. In donning a disguise for Carnevale, for one night a pauper could become a prince, a learned man a fool, a proper lady a passionate lover...and no one would be the wiser. This beer is our tribute to that grand celebration of the unexpected. A Saison-style blonde ale with American hops and... well, thats all you really need to know. Now put on your mask, raise your glass, and toast to the magic of a winter’s night mystery. Le Carnevale!

Bottle. A hazy golden beer with a big white head. The aroma is of yeast/fruits/citrus/banana, wheat and spices/pepper/coriander, light hoppy/citrus. The taste is much the same, dry and bitter. Medium body with a dry finish. Quit nise!

[blind tastet] It is golden with a nice head. The aroma is yeasty with notes of banana which is very dominant. The flavor is also yeasty and perhaps a bit spicy.

Bottled - tasted blind. An unclear golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of yeast as well as medium notes of fruit - citrus fruits and peaches. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of wheat, yeast, and fruit - especially citrus fruits, leading to a dry bitter and lemony finish. The body is good.

From bottle #1 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a lacing white head. Mild spiced, light hoppy and belgian yeasty aroma. Flavour starts light acidic and spiced. Mild bubblegum note following and with a lasting light spiced note joining in. Ends wheaty and slight dry and mild spiced. Light yeasty finish.

#1 Bottle [Sk8viking great American blind tasting] Large creamy like white head that mostly lasted. Cloudy orange – golden color. Good display of lacework. Aroma of coriander, fruit, citrus, caramel and mild pepper. Over the palate came bitter orange peel and again coriander. Medium to full boded with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Somewhat lingering bitter spicy like finish. 6 / 3 / 7 / 3 / 15 = 3.4

750ml bottle. Pleasant aroma of flower blossoms, fruit pastry, spices, and yeasty bread dough. Poured a clear light orange color. The head was fluffy, white, and retained its height well. Some lace was left behind on the glass at the end. Light bodied with a touch of sweetness up front followed by a dry finish. Tasted of yeasty bread dough, flowery hops, fleshy fruit, a splash of orange liqueur, baking spices, and the slightest hint of white wine vinegar. There was also a dash of black pepper at the end. Pretty good stuff.
