Commercial Description:
For centuries Venetians lightened the dark of winter with an elaborate upending of social order. In donning a disguise for Carnevale, for one night a pauper could become a prince, a learned man a fool, a proper lady a passionate lover...and no one would be the wiser. This beer is our tribute to that grand celebration of the unexpected. A Saison-style blonde ale with American hops and... well, thats all you really need to know. Now put on your mask, raise your glass, and toast to the magic of a winter’s night mystery. Le Carnevale!

This is a beautiful food pairing beer, just lightens up my Halibut and Prawns. A beautiful hazy golden honey colored pour, accented by some very light and delicate lacing. Followed by a yeasty aroma of light fruits such as pears and peaches, with a light hint of sour funk, coriander and citrus. The maltiness ranges from biscuity to a bittersweet cookie dough. Zesty mouthfeel with an adamant spiciness throughout. Finishes with an herbal eucalyptus menthol quality. A lovely lip - numbing experience.

Bottle Pours out a cloudy straw topped with a small head. Aromas of citrus and spice. Tast of yeast, pepper, clove, and a little apple. A very tasty Saison. Thanks Jake

Pours a hazy light gold, small head with some very fine lacing. Wasn’t much force behind the cork when I opened it. Banana dominates the nose, with a bit sweetness and a touch of clove. Not as much yeast in the nose as I’d expect from a Saison. Little bit of a funky taste, starts off with some citrus and then finishes with a bit of pepper. Undercarbonated, and not as dry in the finish as I’d like.

Had this right after Sly Fox’s saison and found this to be slightly better or more balanced.Poured a cloudy golden color with a white head. Nose was of cloves and bananas. The flavor was a bit more sour citrus, with bananas, clove, bread and slight pepper. This was carbonated well with a nice clean finish.

750 ml bottle. Thanks to Andrew for giving me the chance to try this one. Fluffy white head on top of a hazed golden yellow body. Spicy and sweet nose that’s hard to put my finger on. Hay, sugars, lemons, and spicy yeast. Not very vibrant, as its lacking the necessary carbonation. Sweet malt and yeasty flavors. Peppery, spicy, herbal, grassy, and piney. Finishes with a spicy funk. Decent beer, but its a little bit of a mess of flavors.

Fresh aroma. No hops but a sweet honey aroma. Golden color with light head; rather cloudy. Very lovely sweetness that develops very well. Different shades of sweetness and honey. Mild carbonation with very small bubbles. Outer edges of palate that lingers and remains. Lovely. Quite lovely and easy to drink. Love it!

Bottle: Dusty blonde / golden pour with a small white head. Nose is lemon and citrus with spices, some florals, and overall crisp. Tastes more spicey with some light yeast. Cinnamon, cloves, a little floral and fruity. Somewhat dry and a bit tart. Nice.
