Commercial Description:
For centuries Venetians lightened the dark of winter with an elaborate upending of social order. In donning a disguise for Carnevale, for one night a pauper could become a prince, a learned man a fool, a proper lady a passionate lover...and no one would be the wiser. This beer is our tribute to that grand celebration of the unexpected. A Saison-style blonde ale with American hops and... well, thats all you really need to know. Now put on your mask, raise your glass, and toast to the magic of a winter’s night mystery. Le Carnevale!

Bottle. The body was hazy gold with a white head. The aroma was medicinal and herbal with some apples. The taste was light apple cores with some hay. There was also an herbal and medicinal quality here. Good stuff.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark, golden color. Minimal head, somewhat white. Yeasty aroma, with hints of fresh grass, spices, and a hint of sweetness. Flavor is very dry. Funky notes come through and the ending is nicely spiced.

Bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’ -- courtesy of biegaman. Pours a hazy gold with an average size diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma’s yeasty, citrusy and spicy along with some light hops, biscuity malt and some sugary sweetness. Yeasty flavour with hops, citrus, some earthiness and pale malt. Medium bodied. A nice Saison, quite enjoyable to drink.

Pours thicker golden color with nice sized white head. Spice and some sweetness to the nose. Flavor has a nice little bite with the spice and hops mixture. Good balance with a bit of sweet honey from the malt. Nice carbination that flows into the finish that is clean yet sweet.

Thanks for sharing Yaniv! Hazy golden yellow rown with a thin small even head. Lightly sweet with subtle spices. Light malt, drier simple. A bit of Bretty fruit A bit viscous, lower carbonation. A bit spicy with the hops. A light malt sweetness. Lingering sweetness. A lot like Saison DuPont. Lingering sweetness like Brette. Not bad.

750mL Bottle. A funky cobweb and lemon flesh aroma. Waxy. Some seltzer-like mineral yeastiness. A little weird. Lightly hazed gold pour, with a really, really lacy white head. Flavor is dominated by banana, clove, and wheat oils. Very mild tasting, but well drinkable. The phenols and yeast characters run a little heavy on this and make it somewhat coarse. Very dry. Fresh tasting, with some bits of spice maybe herbal. A bitter hop gland finishes off the beer. Thanks Andy!

Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks Nick. Poured a clear golden color with a moderate white head that receded to a layer. Aroma of yeasty funk with undertones of pear, apple, clove, and coriander. Moderately dry, spicy entry with some clove that leads into a yeasty, fruity finish with hints of pear, apricot, and apple. Crisp, light, and dry on the palate. Overall, it is solid, but I think I would prefer Red Barn over this.
