Commercial Description:
For centuries Venetians lightened the dark of winter with an elaborate upending of social order. In donning a disguise for Carnevale, for one night a pauper could become a prince, a learned man a fool, a proper lady a passionate lover...and no one would be the wiser. This beer is our tribute to that grand celebration of the unexpected. A Saison-style blonde ale with American hops and... well, thats all you really need to know. Now put on your mask, raise your glass, and toast to the magic of a winter’s night mystery. Le Carnevale!

Bottle from the Saints Club. Nice cloudy yellow color with thick white head. Citus and Spice flavors. Semi sweet with nice somewhat dry finish. Very refreshing on this hot summer night. Really liked this one.

From a bottle purchased at Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA--Poured a bright orange-copper body with a thick white head. Grassy, floral, yeasty nose. Silky, sweet, mildly carbonic mouthfeel. Flowery, zesty, and highly enjoyable. Spicy, rich finish. Yummy!

Bottle. Body-cloudy dark yellow with a medium foamy ring of bubbles. Nose-coriander, gunpowder, lotion, soapy (light), soft. Taste-medium sharpness, watered down orange juice, light lemon zest, light citric juice, heather, unbitter flower petals, light alcohol, low to medium white spices, zest, light aloe, light suntan lotion in a good way, good medium to sharp mouthfeel with a perfect Saison white spice flavors. Very, very, very nice.

Pours amber/gold into a tulip. Fluffy conglomerate head with medium retention leaves sheet lacing as it recedes. PIne and lemon aromas. Crisp and clean with upfront sour citrus and a lasting pepper and hop finish.

750 ml bottle - ours mostly clear gold with slight haze in 2nd glass; huge white head pushes out thick aromas of spice, yeast and bread; mostly sweet, but definitely a slight tartness in there; medium body and drinks a little thin; spice linger in aftertaste; a little bland on the flavor, but a great nose on this

Thanks to riversideAK for sending this one in a recent trade. This hazy, light gold brew sits under a thin white head. Typical funky Belgian aroma. Moderate sweetness in the flavor, some spicy notes as well.

750 ml. brown Belgian bottle. Corked and caged, but no freshness date seen. Poured out a hazy yellow color, with a sticky off white head. Aromas are of sour lemons, white pepper, funky yeast, typical Saison esters. Flavors are of chalky water, strong clove spices, yeasty bread. The cloves are almost overpowering, numbing my throat. Medium mouthfeel, almost too thick for a Saison. Finished sour and dry.

Cloudy orange pour with a thick white head. Spicey hop nose. Flavor was lemon along with hops, spice, and a bit of yeast. Finished very smooth and refreshing. An easy going session beer.
