Commercial Description:
For centuries Venetians lightened the dark of winter with an elaborate upending of social order. In donning a disguise for Carnevale, for one night a pauper could become a prince, a learned man a fool, a proper lady a passionate lover...and no one would be the wiser. This beer is our tribute to that grand celebration of the unexpected. A Saison-style blonde ale with American hops and... well, thats all you really need to know. Now put on your mask, raise your glass, and toast to the magic of a winter's night mystery. Le Carnevale!

25 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold body with a nice frothy billowy white head. Lots of heavy lacing left. Nice honey and wheat nose with touches of yeast and farmhouse funk. A little perfumy hoppiness. Very refreshing yet soft flavor with wheat, yeast, and a little honey sweetness. A little bit of yeast derived spiciness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a little too much thickness and doughy stickiness on the finish for a Saison. Nice soft carbonation. Pretty decent, but a bit too heavy for the style to me.

Crystal clear. Crisp and sharp but slightly metallic. Amazing clove taste for the thinness. Tastes like Belgian yeast but cold fermented. A tiny bit of sweetness comes through, which makes you appreciate it that much more. Dosnt get any better as it warms. Not the best Saison, but not too shabby.

Bomber from Malt & Vine, corked & caged. Pours with a thick white head that quickly dissolves to a one bubble thin patchwork on the surface. Clear apricot colored body. Intense fresh flower aroma of camomile, daisies, and slight funk. Tastes a little bold for a Saison, with a bit of extra hops, a touch of maltiness, and some citrus. Light carbonation in the mouth, and a lingering slight sourness that calls out for more.

Pours clear gold with thin white head. The aroma has layers of fruitiness with orange peel, hints of lemon, apricot, apple and along with assorted spices like coriander, cinnamon and a hint of earthiness. The taste is fresh and nearly bright with apples, orange peel, tasty yeast spices and some lemon like acidity. I struggle a bit to get a grip on what’s going on here due to the blended and seemingly complex flavor notes.

In short: A straightforward but so very nice and authentic countryside Saison
How: Bottle 750ml, from drewbeerme, thanks a lot Andrew. Drank when about 6 months old
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium long-lasting white head
In long: Nose is like walking in a countryside field. Taste is wild flowers. Very wild and very simple, this beer is all about wild yeast. Light fruity notes with no specific fruit flavour coming out. Very wild yet rather clean. Melt in your mouth pillowy body. ot very tasty but very focussed on what it wants to achieve. This beer is as focussed as a nerd playing Donkey Kong on level 37, but more likeable and certainly a lot more wild.
