Slightly hazy. Aroma is pine, some citrus, and maybe a little earthiness. I am rating this beer without knowing what Lost Abbey intends for it to be. It seems to me like a an American Pale Ale with a slight Belgian yeast funk. Although I might be imagining the funk… Bitterness is mild, although certainly present. Mouthfeel is medium. Flavor is nicely balanced between tart citrus and pine and bitterness, with an earthy quality. Overall effect is smooth, refreshing, nicely balanced, pale ale, with a little funk to make it interesting. fonefan (11313), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2009 Odd label notes - what priory are they going on about? Champagne bottle with a quaint, rustic drawing on the label. Big, foamy head on a cloudy tan pour. Pleasantly sweet and spicy in the nose. This is a fairly light and dry Belgian ale that is lacking esters. This would be a good summer brew - it is refreshing and lightly bittered, with flavors of wheat, pith, and a little lime. Not bad, but did they need a champagne cork for this? I think not.
