Commercial Description:
It’s an unassuming road leading to the priory. Here, off the corner of two intersecting roads, dedicated monks have been making beer for over 150 years. It’s always been a simple life – the kind that requires they brew only enough to sustain the activities of their monastery In the silence of passing seasons, they pray, they brew and retire in a solitary existence behind the sheltering walls. They live a most interesting life. Most likely one we wouldn’t sustain. Nearby, each summer, the trellised fields spring to life as rows of resinous green cones are trained toward the heavens. Rumor is some monks love these hops and being surrounded by budding yellow aromas and the leafy pungent fields inspires them. Since we weren’t sensible enough to locate our brewery near hop fields, we can only offer this blond ale in celebration of our Abbey brethren and their steadfast Devotion.

Bottle purchased at BevMo: Oceanside. Golden with a nice firm white head. Flowery yeast aroma is quite pleasing. A mix of floral and earthiness in the flavor. Crisp refreshing palate. Good solid beer.

$10 bottle, corked and caged from Capone’s, iirc, to enjoy the Phils’ first playoff win in what ... 15 years?. Musty yeast nose, Duvel-like but with some candis and dust. Near-coriander and some saison-ish tones. Hazy golden body still lets light through, brig fluffy, brilliantly white head. Slightly sour, very dry (bone dry!) and bitter with some earthy, leafy overtones, light spice, appreciated rubber gloves and cork astringency. Dusty with most of the contribution from the yeast. Medium body, but the water-sucking body makes it feel a bit fuller than that. Sags under the heat of the country sun, hops are a bit more Belgian than the yeast, dry and refreshing and ultimately interesting!

A dark golden beer. The aroma is surprisingly hoppy for a Belgian ale, and the flavor supports the nose. I think they brewed an IPA and maybe used a Belgian yeast. Good. Odd. But good.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy orange color with medium off-white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy citrus and yeasty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium to heavy sweet&sour flavor with a medium sour finish of moderate to long duration. Very solid brew.

Bottle. Poured a hazy gold with a three finger white head. Aroma was spicy. Flavor was candied sugar and citrus. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Very spicy aroma with a wheat like zest to it. Citrus and hay perhaps. I got plenty of wheat with citrus zest and a malty midpalate.
