Commercial Description:
And so the Three Wise Men set out from the East bearing gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Along the Way, they follwoed a bright light. The Bible neglects to mention if they brought beer or not. Who goes crossing the desert without beer? How smart are we to believe these wise men were? Since Christmas is the season of gift giving more than receiving, please be a giver and share the Wisdom found in each and every bottle of our Gift of the Magi.

750 bottle. Dense amber color with a Belgianesque aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel and blended malt flavors. Nice malt. Very well done.

Bottle. Cloudy tan-amber, creamy yellowish-ivory head. Lots of fruit in the nose, sour apple, bit of pear, cherry. Taste is deceptively different, lots of bitterness, a bit of brown sugar, lots of spice, not particularly sour. A solid beer and very drinkable for 10%, but surprisingly subdued for The Lost Abbey. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.

sample at Ale Atlanta 6/4... pours a hazy orange... big citrus, spice and yeast in the aromas. medium body with oranges, spice and a very mild touch of hops. There is a lot of orange peel zest on the finish along with a big spice / pepper splash that leaves a little tingle on your tongue.

I drank this a couple of weeks ago. Very good and I wish I could find it locally. Lost Abbey beers are similar to Jolly Pumpkin, one of my favorites.
