| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Bottle. Cloudy tan-amber, creamy yellowish-ivory head. Lots of fruit in the nose, sour apple, bit of pear, cherry. Taste is deceptively different, lots of bitterness, a bit of brown sugar, lots of spice, not particularly sour. A solid beer and very drinkable for 10%, but surprisingly subdued for The Lost Abbey. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing. JohnnyJ (1339), Carlsbad, California, USA

There is a lot of orange peel zest on the finish along with a big spice / pepper splash that leaves a little tingle on your tongue. Hudspart (371), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA
