Commercial Description:
And so the Three Wise Men set out from the East bearing gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Along the Way, they follwoed a bright light. The Bible neglects to mention if they brought beer or not. Who goes crossing the desert without beer? How smart are we to believe these wise men were? Since Christmas is the season of gift giving more than receiving, please be a giver and share the Wisdom found in each and every bottle of our Gift of the Magi.

bottle. Someone shared this at the Houston RB Tasting in October. Pours a clear, reddish amber with white bubbles in lieu of head. Nose is of candied fruit and spice. Taste is is also of spices and candied fruit. By this point, I was fairly intoxicated, so did not have an in-depth observation. Mouthfeel was sweet and alcohol noticeable.

Bottle split with tony. Pours a dark murky brown body with a good portion of sediment. Aroma is spice, maybe cinnamon; as well as some herbal scent. Taste is very well balanced as per usual with Lost Abbey. Flavors of malt, spice, sugar, subtle complexity - and of course brilliant alcohol masking... 10%????

Awesome brew. The pour is a copper haze. Good head. Little lacing. The aroma has some hints of cinnamon. There is also hints of alcohol, malts, and parsley. Very nice. The flavor hides the 10% ABV. Enjoyed with my friend James, my personal beer god.

Draft at Drafting Room Exton. Poured cloudy brown in color with a hefty beige head that left little to no lacing on the glass. Aroma of doughy yeast, light hops, spices. Tastes of toasted malts, spices, toffee, with a little bit of a warm alcohol finish.

Nice red/golden Rose colour, with a nice white head and good lacing. Smells like raisins and caramel. Caramel, spice, toasty grains and bready yeast at first followed by sour apples. I really like this one!

Draft at Teresa’s Next Door, Wayne, PA. Pours almost opaque amber-tan with a thick, creamy, one-finger beige head. Aroma of pumpkin, ginger, scotch, cheeries, vanilla, dates, roasted malts, and slight hints of egg nog. Fuller bodied with a bright, slightly spicy mouthfeel. Great warming finish. Excellent seasonal from Lost Abbey/

Barrel Aged version on draft at Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival 2009. Poured a light murky brown color with white head. Aroma was funky barnyard, bandaids, and oak. Taste was oak, mild sourness and funk. Medium pallet. Overall pretty good in a strange way.

Orange pour, nice white head. Very unique aroma. Apples, lemon, yeast, horse blanket and dry earthy notes. Flavor is tart and a little bitter. Some very nice spices and peppery notes. Very fun beer to drink.
