Commercial Description:
Corruption, Greed, and Lust. They're all represented on the hooks of today. Tomorrow, they'll be stinging Gluttony, Desire, and Sloth. Go ahead. Tell yourself you're better than all of them. But you can't. Hell can be funny like that. Down here it's all just sin. Everyone here is screwed just like you. They don't care who you sliced, diced, or cheated. No on is escaping this heinous place. Your roommate is an ax murderer. Eerily, he's not threatening. How can he be? Here, the Fallen Angel owns your body, mind and soul. As such, no one can take your life. It's already been taken. Or was it given? Neither matters. Did you seriously think you were living a virtuous life. At least Satan serves beer in Hell. He brews it himself right there in that flame stoked cauldron. Rumor has it the beer is straw yellow, bone dry and simply labeled Inferno.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Solid body with fruit and yeast and a spicy touch. Lightly tart finish. Not uninteresting, but far from one of Lost Abbeys greatest. 051008

Pours a cloudy gold in color. Nice frothy head forms on the pour. Smell is very floral and fruity. A little bit of spice. Taste is much more floral. There is a good amount of bitterness in the flavor as well. Decent and good mouthfeel. Very easy drinking. Don’t notice the ABV at all.

75cl bottle from Charles Street Liquors (Boston, MA). Pours a hazy golden with one finger white head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, honey, caramel, apple, straw, yeast, spice, coriander. Flavor is sweet and spicy with notes of citrus, flowers, white grapefruit, yeast. Generally medium body with a slightly sweet, slightly bitter finish. This beer reminded us more of a strong saison or belgian tripel ale rather than a belgian strong ale.

Snagged the bottle at Union Jack’s in Glenside. Awesome appearance - bright gold body with good, slow moving carbonation. The white head is insatiable - it lasts the whole brew and stays two fingers thick. The smell is very spicy and yeasty, with some lemons, peaches, grass, hay, and cream soda. Incredibly dry taste, with strong lemon, pear, apple, grass, clove, ginger, and peach. Really a fantastic brew, and way too drinkable.

My first Lost Abbey! Thanks to PJ’s in Longmont who just started carrying this. Pours a beautiful cloudy straw with a thick cream head. Yeasty, peachy lemony aroma. Bitter. Long mouth drying aftertaste. Malty, no hops but pronounced alcohol.

Bottle, thank you yespr. Refreshing citric aroma, hint of sweet malt and spice. Cloudy orange colour. Big stable, plasticky white head. Sweet flavour, spicy, clove and alcohol. Uncompromising bitterness in the finish.

750ml bottle, slight hazy honey gold hue, with a fluffy white head, yeasty, fruity, spicy nose of pineapples, mangoes, ripe apples, with some honeyed pale malt accents, and a floral hop citrusy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild honeyish pale malt, fruity character of apples, pears, mangoes, with a hint of vanilla spiciness, and a faint flowery hop zesty citrusy accent, within a warmth mouthfeel, leading towards a lemony, leafy hop bitter finish.

750 ml bottle - thanks to USCMustangman for the trade; pours bright orange and mostly clear (first glass) with frothy white head; sweet aromas of malts, fruit, apple, vanilla and lemons; very little spice in the flavors; second glass was muddy brown from the yeast and the obvious increase in texture; musky flavors of bananas and fruit; an ok beer overall
