Commercial Description:
Corruption, Greed, and Lust. They're all represented on the hooks of today. Tomorrow, they'll be stinging Gluttony, Desire, and Sloth. Go ahead. Tell yourself you're better than all of them. But you can't. Hell can be funny like that. Down here it's all just sin. Everyone here is screwed just like you. They don't care who you sliced, diced, or cheated. No on is escaping this heinous place. Your roommate is an ax murderer. Eerily, he's not threatening. How can he be? Here, the Fallen Angel owns your body, mind and soul. As such, no one can take your life. It's already been taken. Or was it given? Neither matters. Did you seriously think you were living a virtuous life. At least Satan serves beer in Hell. He brews it himself right there in that flame stoked cauldron. Rumor has it the beer is straw yellow, bone dry and simply labeled Inferno.

The hell is up with that description??Who wrote that? Charles Manson??Aroma is somewhatmalt and tart yeast. Taste is slighty fruity malt with harsh drying finish. Decent but somewhat common for Lost Abbey

Bottle. Pale orange pour with some white head. Aroma is light bubblegum, belgian spices, some pale belgian malt and a little richer malt as well. Flavor is similar, citrusy though also, sweet and light bubblegum, but offset by spices with a sort of grassy finish.

750 mL bottle courtesy of kiefdog. Is it a Tripel, Is it a Saison? Who know? This beer has a bit of an identity crisis on its hands. It pours straw blonde with a a foamy/ pillowy head. The aroma is very tripel-like with honey, caramel, apple, and straw. The flavor is too with some peppery saison qualities. A honey tripel meets a peppery saison with notes of tart citrus. Interesting.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Solid body with fruit and yeast and a spicy touch. Lightly tart finish. Not uninteresting, but far from one of Lost Abbeys greatest. 051008

Pours a cloudy gold in color. Nice frothy head forms on the pour. Smell is very floral and fruity. A little bit of spice. Taste is much more floral. There is a good amount of bitterness in the flavor as well. Decent and good mouthfeel. Very easy drinking. Don’t notice the ABV at all.

75cl bottle from Charles Street Liquors (Boston, MA). Pours a hazy golden with one finger white head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, honey, caramel, apple, straw, yeast, spice, coriander. Flavor is sweet and spicy with notes of citrus, flowers, white grapefruit, yeast. Generally medium body with a slightly sweet, slightly bitter finish. This beer reminded us more of a strong saison or belgian tripel ale rather than a belgian strong ale.

Snagged the bottle at Union Jack’s in Glenside. Awesome appearance - bright gold body with good, slow moving carbonation. The white head is insatiable - it lasts the whole brew and stays two fingers thick. The smell is very spicy and yeasty, with some lemons, peaches, grass, hay, and cream soda. Incredibly dry taste, with strong lemon, pear, apple, grass, clove, ginger, and peach. Really a fantastic brew, and way too drinkable.

My first Lost Abbey! Thanks to PJ’s in Longmont who just started carrying this. Pours a beautiful cloudy straw with a thick cream head. Yeasty, peachy lemony aroma. Bitter. Long mouth drying aftertaste. Malty, no hops but pronounced alcohol.
