Hazy golden body with a medium sized white head. Fresh yeast and herbal hops in the nose along with a nice bit of golden fruits and honey, doughy malts. The taste is drier than the aroma lets on, a bit of honey and cotton candy is there as well as some bread. Hops charactor is herbal, floral and a bit mineral-ly, moderate bitterness, but smooth. All ending with pears and light orange. Medium boyd is soft and well rounded. Carbonation is moderate, but extremely gentle. Another winner from Tomme.

Aug 16, 2008 Murky straw hue, fluffy white head gradually dissipates. Aroma is sweet light fruits, yeast, bread and grains, slight citrus, hops, and alcohol. Flavor is initially light malts and subtle fruits, some spice and pepper creep in along with drying hops, yeast and alcohol apparent in the quick finish. Palate is full and thick with lively carbonation. Overall a decent Belgian (Duvel clone?) with a good balance of malts, yeast, light hops and spices (more saison-ish than strong ale), but nothing too unique here compared to Tomme’s other beers.

Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with a whitish head. Nice yeasty, malt aroma with some spice. Maltys, yeasty, light lemon flavor. Medium body. Refreshing. Lingering yeast, spice, and malt. A bit more fruitiness than Duvel without the spice.

Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden color with a broken thin layer of white head. Sweet aroma, honey, orange peel, Belgian yeast, herbal bready notes, but mostly dominated by sweetness and yeast. Sweet grainy and herbal taste, mild sharpness to the start, dry finish.

Aug 13, 2008 Poured a lightly hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of toffee, toasted dough, pils malt, honey, light spices, citrus, and yeast. Taste of earthy yeast, citrus fruits, white pepper, toasted dough, some spices, and a slightly alcoholic finish.
