Thanks to JohnC via trade. Pours a hazy Golden Orange into my Cantillon tumbler. Head is a small white ring that dissipates quickly. Wonderful aroma of citrus, hay, oak, and some horse blanket. This beer is all about the funk. The sourness is complimented by perfect carbonation. Waited along time to try this and it did not disappoint. Wonderful Sour ale!!!!!

Crushed with CaryTheDude and JakeBra. I came down after my shower and three trappists glass of this amazing liquid were waiting on the table. Hazy yellow with white head, some yeast at the bottom. Smells amazing. Leather. Horseblanket, funk, cheese. All kinds of insanity. Flavor is amazing. Mouthwatering, delicious. The kind of beer I wish I could drink every day.

Fresh palate tasting with Honkeybra and Carythedude, although I would like the entire bottle to myself. This brew embodies the perfectioning of a sour ale. A rarity well worth trading for over and over. Let me know if you have a spare one!

Crushed with Jakebra and Honkeybra. Holy shit. This is one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. Absolutely outstanding. Mouth-watering. Can see why it took 6 of the top brewers to create this one. I never want to stop drinking this.

Thanks to Ryan for hooking me up with this great beer. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Lovely aromas and flavors of lemon, cherries, tart fruits, acetic acid woody notes, leather, some horseblanket, and funk. Big as the flavors were, each was subtle, and the beer as a whole offered a wonderful complexity. Beautiful beer.

Bottle shared by Kevin and Karen. Those kids.... Lots of funk on this one, nice sourness, quite tasty, but not earth-shattering.

Bottle. Very slightly hazy golden-colored beer with lovely sparkling and a white head. Wonderful aroma of barnyard, lemon, lemon peels, some other citrus fruits, plenty of oak and some fresh fruits. Delicious sour flavor, very citric, with notes of vinegar, brett, some tart green apples and light lemony astringency in the finish and a bit of sweetness in the background. Medium-bodied with a smooth, slicky, mouthfeel. An amazingly fresh-tasting, refreshing, quaffable, beer. I wish I’ll have it again some day, maybe with some more age on it. Anyway, at this age it already is an outstanding beer.

BA review: Thanks to Shane(beachbum1975) for sharing this bottle, and thanks to numbeercruncher for the bottle you traded me :) 750ml brown corked and caged bottle poured into a snifter. A: Pours an orangish tangerine. Nice white frothy head. Some retention and decent lacing. S: Good funk. Horse blanket, wet dog, gym sock. Astringent acidic fruits layered on top of very tart fruits. Definitely some lemon and grapefruit quality but maybe some underlying apricot or peach? Some light earthy and musty tones. T/M: Very sour and tart. Very dry. A sour and and puckering tartness similar to Beatification but less far less funk. Still a good bit of funk with some barnyard, wet hay qualities. Sourness really builds strong in the swallow, reminding me a bit like a spritz of lemon juice down the throat. Which brings in the lemon and lime and maybe some pineapple tart and juicy fruitiness. Definitely a very dry brew with supporting leather or hide flavors. The barrel aging further adds the pleasant funky and tannin qualities. The body is medium light with lively carbonation that pricks the tongue. Finishes very dry and decently puckering. D: I’d be kidding myself if I said that I could drink an entire bottle of this myself but I’d convince myself to try :) Damn fine beer. This really needs to be a yearly release. By far the best Wild I’ve had.
