Pours a good 3mm head that dissipates right away leaving a small island in the middle of the beer where carbonation is leaving the beer at aeration points at the bottom of the Darkness tulip. The color is dark yellow with an orange tint. In the smell the first thing I notice is a sweet pineapple smell that blends in behind the sour citric lemon flavors. Taste is very sour and citrusy that hits the back of your tongue and let you know it’s pH. Mouthfeel is good with carbonation that matches the acidity very well. Still has a good palate cleansing ability with a very dry finish making it very drinkable for sour lovers.

Pours a cloudy light orange into a tulip. One-finger head slowly dissipates into a thin collar, with thin, spotty lacing. Nose is lemon, grapefruit, spice, and post-workout gym shorts. Mostly citrus flavors on the palate, with spice and funk. Quite sour, but enough malt body to provide a nice balance. Not overly sweet. Medium-light body, with very fine carbonation and a bit of oily slickness. Very drinkable, but loses points for the hefty price tag. This is a very, very tasty beer. Not heads and tails above other american sours, but delicious and distinct enough that every sourhead should give it a try.

Bottle from bockyhorsey, yet another spoiler beer bud of mine!!!! The pour was golden straw colored, hazy, generous white head that was continuously regenerable with a swirl. The aroma was strong tart citrus and lemons, light funk. The flavor followed the aroma, spicey woody elements in the finish, much more of the citrus and tart elements showing than the funky barnyard stuff. With warmer temperatures the apples and grapes make a showing underneath, but this one is pretty punishing, hope the intestines hold together later tonite!!??? Body is thin with some definite acidic character (dominating). A nice shot at the style, but man, at the price, whamo, is it worth it? No need for sour horizontals, eh, a little rough on the stomach? Thanks to Bill for getting this one my way!

Thick cloudy glowing orange yellow with a thin barely there watery head. Sour and sweet lemon lime tart smell. Flavor is tart and sour and oranges and lemons and well... enjoyable. Nice, balanced, tasty and overall, I am very happy with this one.

600th Rating: Poured from a 750ml caged and corked bottle and served in a snifter. This beer poured a hazy golden with a thin head of off-white foam that slightly lasted. Almost no lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of fresh lemon, cheese, white grapes, and wet wood. Moderately funky. The flavor was refreshingly tart with a nice, even sourness. It contained notes of lemon, orange zest, oak, dry white grapes, and an underlying element of grassy hops and aged cheese. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had light carbonation. Very gueuze-like...quenching and quaffable. This beer begs for you to take another drink!

Bottle at Falling Rock Tap House, GABF 2008. Pours hazy yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, hay, straw), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of grapes and wood. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a sour finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and sourness.

definetly sour, im not the biggest fan of sours but this is a great beer. Very complex beer you can alomost taste each brewers influence in the beer. Light in color, funky brett nose, and long lasting tounge smacking full flavor.
