Lemon and "barnyard funk" aroma. This is very gueze-esque. Medium bodied with a good amount of dryness on the palate. Flavors of yeast, pepper, white grapes, and lemon pulled together by a medium sourness. Nicely done from a slightly inexperienced palate as far as Belgian styles go. nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sweet tarts, funky, yeasty - amazingly balanced. Excellent dusty finish and lingering yuzu/myer lemon notes. Apple like sweetness, reminiscent of orangina. Quite dry. The balance is really remarkable. Definitely the best sour, and one of the best beers, I’ve ever had. WISEGUY572 (1245), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Lost Abbey does great interpretations of Belgian dubbels, tripels, and quads. But this was an amazing American lambic. It’s hard for me to get too enthusiastic about the smell of a lambic, serious barnyard or diaper funk. Everything else is a close to perfect as a beer can be. Wonderful waves of complexity, yeast, funk, lemon, sweet finish. Wonderful appearance, cloudy orange, wonderful palate. Just a great beer. IrishBoy (2709), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Bottle from Lost Abbey Sinners online! Nose is tart with horseblanket, oak, lemon, and yeast; Murky yellow-gold with a big, glass-lacing but quick disappearing, off-white head; flavor is moderate funky tartness with some lemon and a light berry note to complement the oakiness; finish is of course tart! hopdog (5557), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

A wee bit of a gusher but not too much wasted! Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of wood (oak), citrus (lemon peels), funky, musty/dusty, and some leather. Tastes of oak, lemons/citrus, musty, funky, and fruity. The more I smelled this one the more and different aromas I got. Medium sourness that lingered on my lips. I’m going to enjoy every drop of this one! sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Sampled from bottle courtesy TheCheeseMan and sampled at Lost Abbey tasting @ RBSG. Dark straw color, thin ring of white head. Dusty, sweet barnyard aroma, a lot of acetic notes. Heavy sour citric taste, less vinegar acetic-ness on the taste than the aroma gives. This lets other subtle notes come out, some fresh cut grapefruit, grapeskins, oak. Very nice. blutt59 (2105), Dallas, Texas, USA
