Pored a golden color. Truly a great sour ale. Pronounced tones of pineapple and farmhouse funk. I’m glad I got to try this one and wish I could get another. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA

Pours a hazy golden hue with little head. Whoa, the aroma. Outstanding with so many layers of funk: horseblanket, grape must, some wet socks and other odd farm animals tossed in for good measure. Wonderful complexity with the aforementioned funk, but with additional notes of tart fruits, citrus acidity and a nicely complimentary carbonation. This finishes with a tight grip on your palate as the acidity and funk just want to hang around and party some more. One of the best examples of a sour I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. Plenty of sour tartness, sweet, and dry. Very bold sourness/funkiness to it. For a non-sour-head like myself, this was not as easy to drink as the RR Deviation IX that I sampled earlier in the night. Still, a well-made and enjoyable beer. BrianK (190), Livingston, New Jersey, USA

After tast yeast, but tart. Is very compareable any of the great guezes. Very drinkable and refreshing. I wish I had another bottle. JK (2952), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

There is peach and yeast in the aroma. Flavor has lots of brett and other yeast, along with apricot. Some barnyard and a great sour aftertaste. This beer is a big deal because it is practically unheard of to see something like this from from an American brewer. Big thanks to BDR for sharing. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours a glowing orange color with a filmy thin white head. Smell is hugely tart and very potent and gueuze like to me, but with lots of grapefruit and a touch of well placed sweetness not usually found in other good sours. Taste is very sour and tart. Citric, lemony strongly grapefruit juice like and moderately funky with a very nice and bright fruity flavor. Quite sour and flavorful, yet still highly drinkable. Easily one of my favorite sours and lived up to the hype for me. m4rest88 (216), Beverly Hills, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 25, 2008 The beer’s aroma is malty light breadlike smell with a hint of pineapple. It has some citrus lemon citrus hops which gives it a pleasant aroma.
It starts off with a small fizzy head and the head lacing is good. The longevity, though, is mostly diminshing. The body clarity is murky and has small body paticles witin the yellowish orange hue. The initial flavor, to me, is sweet and the beer finishes off relatively sour.
It has a light body and a dry texture with soft carbonation on the palate. The finish feel is moderately to harshly sour.
