Pours muddy, super cloudy brown with a two-finger yellowish tan head that settles down quickly to a nice protective layer. Actually, this beer is 100% opaque light brown. It looks like straight up mud. Aroma of figs, homemade apple pie, apple danish. No lacing. Taste is very dry throughout with dry cocoa powder. There are also notes of spiced apples, Chambord, Grand Mariner, some oak, cherries. Some warming from the 8%. Creamy, rich mouthfeel. Yum. fiver29 (713), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Dark chestnut amber with thick tan head. Aroma is raisins, cherries, ginger, and other spices. Taste is the same with a rich and mildly vinous fruit component, and slight warming alcohol into the finish. Extra-high carbonation makes this drink a bit like a milkshake. $10/750ml jfenglish (203), Chicago, Illinois, USA
