Big carbination that has a nice fruity finish. blklab2007 (932), Connecticut, USA Jun 29, 2008 750 bottle corked and caged opened with a light pop. color is a muddy brown with a thin fizzy tan head. aroma has yeast, raisin, fig, plumb, light anise, and spices. mouth feel has fizzy carbonation but is on the thin side. flavors of must, dark over ripe fruit, spice, and brown sugar sweetness. raisin adds both to the flavor and sweetness and is complemented by the yeast spice. finishes with dark fruit and some alcohol presence. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours dark brown with a slightly off-white head. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Jun 23, 2008 Bottle: Mild brown pour with a large beige head. Dark fruits and dusty malt are presented first, followed by Belgian spiciness. The flavor is a rather well blended combo of dark fruit, raison/figs, malts, Belgian spices, and a light amount of yeast. Very smooth and easy drinking. Thanks Jordan for bringing this back; another treat from LA. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 20, 2008 Reddish brown in color with pretty much no head. Smell is sweet, sugary, molasses, raisans, and fruits. Taste is much the same as the smell. Good flavors in there. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Jun 18, 2008 Deep mahogany-red-brown, slight haze and tan head. Complex gamy aroma includes roots and Chinese herbs like a healing tea.
