Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Bottle. Dark brown with a slight The aroma is of roasted malt, raisins and perhaps other dry fruit. The flavor is likewise with some fruits coming through because of the yeast. I think this beer is elegant and has a very complex flavor that is best for sipping and contemplation. This is my favorite brew from this brewery. There just is not any other brews out there that are on the same level as this one!

Poured a reddish brown with a big creamy off white head. Aroma of malt and raisins. Good sweet malt flavor with some raisins. Sweet but not overly sweet. Very drinkable.

Poured a murky red brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of raisins, cherries, caramel malt, roast, and a bit of yeast. Taste of caramel, cherries, vanilla, a bit of roast, with more yeast, candy sugar, spices, and light alcohol in the finish.

Pours a deep mohagony, aroma of dried fruits and molasses. Flavor is complex with more of the aroma, along with a sharp carbonation. Letting it warm a few minutes, sugars and fruits are stronger with a nice clean finish. Really good beer.

Brownish, unfiltered. Fruity, estery sort of aroma and flavor. Very Belgian dubble-styled. Fairly low carbonation, sweetish and candy-ish flavor. Pretty tasty.

(Rating #1244)

Thanks to awaisanen for the trade. Pours a deep brown with some nice chestnut/ruby red highlights and a medium creamy light tan lacing head. Aroma of raisins, hard candy, banana, nuts, figs, citrus, floral, some caramel, light chocolate, Belgian spices and yeast...just a very nice complex Dubbel aroma. Flavor of yeast, chocolate malt, raisins and other dark fruits. Also picking up some caramel, toffee and nuts.

Pours darker than I was expecting with a reddish hue to it. Smell is dark fruits, but to my pleasant surprise there was a bit of sourness to it. This has a huge mouthfeel and is very pleasant. There are plenty of juicy, dark fruits in this offering. This may be my favorite Lost Abbey beer to date. You never notice the ABV. The complexity in this beer is very nice and everything works wonderul together. Very well done.
