Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Hazy nut brown color, small brownish head. Caramel, yeast and fresh vegetables in the nose. Quite alcoholic, feels even higher than 7 %. Caramelly-toffeish, some hops, loads of yeast there. This beer has lost its soul on the way, but drinkable it is.

Sampled the night before DLD. Slightly hazed brown pour with off white head. The aroma and flavor are dominated by the yeastiness. The flavor has some dried fruit like raisins as well. Slightly fizzy/foamy for me but a good beer. Carbonation is a bit of an issue for me but the flavor and mouthfeel over come that to make this a solid offering.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Murky amber color with a small, but lasting head. Lots of sweet, dark fruit, grainy malt, and some alcohol in the aroma. Sweet-malty flavor with lots of dried and fresh fruit. Some acidity, and a drier ashiness in the finish. Medium-bodied, quite low-carbonated palate. Too sweet and acidic to be really enjoyable - maybe not at its best?

750ml, pours brown with tan head. nose has brown sugar, bread, dark fruits, and spicy yeast. flavor is nutty, bready, slightly spicy yeast, and some dark fruits. a basic abbey beer that doesn’t really do anything special.3.4.

rated blind from "Better Know a Style: Abbey Dubbel" tasting. pours ruby with tan head. nose is smokey, caramel, alcohol. flavor of red fruits, doughy, yeasty, alcohol. mouth feel is smooth. meh. 3.1.

2/23/08, another sample from a bottle shared by holdenn. This is easily my least favorite LA brew as it continues to unimpress me. lots of dried fruit and some yeastyness leaving a lot to desire. i keep trying this brew and wanting more but I guess that’s what Amazing Grace is for. 3.2.

750m courtesy aspidites. Pours hazy dark copper with a pale yellow head. Aroma of brown sugar and figs. Tastes a bit like fruitcake with hops and carbonation: lightly spicy, fruit, bread, nuts, molasses. Sweet, but not overly so.
