Nose of caramel, raisins, light buttery notes with some faint citrus as well. Body is medium with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation, nice. Medium sweet malt flavors, caramel, raisiny, fruity, earthy woodsy notes. Finish is dry and fruity. A decent Dubbel. The aroma is dark fruit, berry, caramel and banana. The flavor is lightly sweet, ripe bananas, plums and candi sugar. Medium body is very soft, moderate carbonation, drying finish. Nice copper color to this one, with lots of carbonation. Sweet, with plenty of dark fruit and malt, very sweet on the lips. very nice drinker, alcohol is well hidden. By trying this beer, I’ll return to rating this style more, as I enjoy it alot! Aroma of sweet dark biscuity Belgian malt with some toasty caramel and authentic yeasty character. Sweet, dark caramely malty flavor has nice complexity and a full bready body. Well-balanced, very authentic and enjoyable. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA Apr 15, 2007 soft raisins and plums nose with a bit of molasses and candi sugar. White pepper dances with dark cognac soaked fruits and a touch of nuts on the palate. Nice ripe fruit and spice finish.
