Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Bottle sampled with Mad Indian and D.B. Pours deep amber with a decent size tan head/. Aroma of belgian spices, fruit (prodominantly banana) and vanilla. The flavor is smooth, banana, other fruit, citrus, and slight bitter hops in the finish. Great brew.

Sampled with Dennis Bell and Stegosaurus at Monks cafe. Bottled. Amber pour with hints of of Bananna in the aroma. Wheat taste that is well blended.

750mL corked bottle: Pours a clear deep amber color with medium sized light tan head that dissapears immediately. Aroma is slightly perfumy, notes of raisens, rum, brown sugar, hint of vanilla. Flavor is malty, fair amount of caramel, bit of apple, pear, figs, cinnamon, slightly estery. Finish is slightly sweet. A good brew, though not amazing.

Pour is dark red and with good head. Well carbonated. Muted fruity aroma. Smooth well developed flavor and the body is just about right if a bit over-carbonated. Quality dubbel.

On tap at Stone Brewery in Escondido, CA. Pours a deep reddish brown. The banana esters come through strong but not too strong. Wonderful aroma of other ripe fruits. Wonderful taste to match. Sweet taste all teh way through. Smooth palate with an after-taste that leaves me wanting more. One of my favorites. I just wish I bought some bottles of it when I was in CA.

solid, but not spectacular dubbel. aroma of yeast, sugar with some spice. flavor of dried fruit, caramel malt, with some yeast and spice. medium body, maybe slightly overcarbonated. the taste seemed a litttle sharp from the carbonation. not bad, but the belgians have nothing to worry about.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours a deep reddish-brown. Smells of raisins and dried fruit. Mildly sweet, almost thick body. Good example of a dubbel.

750ml bottle. Made a loud popping sound when the corked was pulled. Poured a red body with nice head. Aroma is bubblegum, yeast, sugar and spices. Flavor is sweet and somewhat sticky with a very small amount of carbonation. This need to warm up for quite awhile before it started to become a decent beer. Pretty good but was disappointed in this batch.
