Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Large brown head, good retention and a nice lace. Brown color with a light red glow. Nose of caramel, raisins, light buttery notes with some faint citrus as well. Body is medium with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation, nice. Medium sweet malt flavors, caramel, raisiny, fruity, earthy woodsy notes. Finish is dry and fruity. A decent Dubbel. Thanks to FlacoAlto for this one.

Suprisingly light for a beer like this. Candi sugars, rum, alcohol, yeast and dark fruits in the nose. Appearance is a dark copper/brownish, with a tannish head w/o much retention. I got some black cherry, prunes, dates, tobacco and apples from the taste. Overall, it might just be my favorite so far from the Lost Abbey selection, although Angels Share is looking nice. Nicely done from the Port Brewing guys!

750 ml bottle bought in Grand Junction, CO at College Liquors. Pours a dark red-brown color with a small white head. The aroma is fruity; some sweet fruit notes, light nutty notes and some yeast. The flavor is very fruity, sweeter fruit notes, some dark fruit and raisin flavors, yeast, light tartness, and a smooth but disappointingly light mouthfeel. A nice beer for sure. And of course, a cool label.

Dark plum color with a lighter head. Aroma of raisin, prune, candy sugar. Flavor is sugary with a nice raisin-date-prune essence. Smooth feel a pretty good Dubbel.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Another bottle from winetr santa, I will revisit shortly. Absolutely loved this beer, appears I am in the minority. brilliant dark ruby, huge beige head, fades to ring of film. Spotty lacing. All kinds of dark fruit in the aroma and flavor. Fig, prune, grape, raisin. Certain chewy yeastiness to it. One dimensional in a way, but really enjoy it.

Poured from tap at the brewery. Huge diacetyl nose and flavor. Normally considered a deficiency, but I liked it because of the magnitude. Great lacing and head. Reddish color. Sweet malty and light bitterness.

750ml bottle. Made a loud popping sound when the corked was pulled. Poured a red body with nice head. Aroma is bubblegum, yeast, sugar and spices. Flavor is sweet and somewhat sticky with a very small amount of carbonation. This need to warm up for quite awhile before it started to become a decent beer. Pretty good but was disappointed in this batch.
