A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Bottle. Poured a hazy brown color with a three finger brown head. Aroma of spices, candied fruits and raisins. Flavor had similar spices with a candied sugar taste. Medium/full body with good carbonation.

750 mL bottle - pours dark red with slight white head around the edges; thick aromas of dry fruit, brown sugar and obvious alcohol, which doesn’t come out much in the flavors; drinks creamy smooth; i served it too cold and the textures came out once it warmed slightly

750 mL bottle, corked & caged - 2007 version, fresh: dark, cloudy mahogany...frothy tan head diminishes quickly, but the carbonation is held by the liquid as the body is lively and tingly. Raisny, dark caramel aroma, cherry skins and strawberries play their part along with light alcohol twang and honey. Spicy at the tip of the tongue with star anise and coconut. The flavour profile is complex with dark yeasts, bitter hops and a gooey fig sweetness. A smooth body and wonderful texture. Long, toasted whiskey malt finish...superb.

Good for a dubbel despite not being extremely complex. Pours reddish-brown with a beige head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Taste is dark malt, dark fruits (esp. raisins), brown sugar, and some yeast although not as intense as in your average Belgian. Standard palate for the style. Re-rate: much better on tap at Toronado. Strong dark fruit flavor with brown sugar, earth, and yeast. Palate only average but overall really enjoyable.

Bottle. Aroma of candied dried fruit. Yeast. Dried and semi sweet malt. Plenty of fruity esters. Pours a hazy orange/red with a creamy white head. Lots of candy sweet malt on the tongue. Slightly funky dry yeast. Dried orange peel. Medium bodied. Finishes with a slight funk and plenty of yeasty dryness.

Its amazing how different this is tasting to everyone, you look at the reviews its hard to believe we are drinking the same thing. I got a huge full aroma of caramely raisins, dates, pear, and Christmas cookie anise, taste was full of dark fruit, chocolate, candy sugar, and that wonderful anise, all the flavors were very full and distinct, stunning in its complexity, hardly a hint of the alcohol, very highly carbonated, has a carbonic bite to it,but a very amazing brew

A reddened oak shade of brown. Aroma of raisins burned in a brown sugar reduction. A bit of port character, molasses and oatmeal cookies. Iron is unmistakable at first. Plums, cacao, and raspberries. Dense and approachable with its sugar-rolled doughy sweetness. Finishes on a dry rub of anise seed and ground cloves. Palate is fairly light and lively given the general construct. Plenty of possibilities here with scattered conclusions. One of those that never evolves into the full sum of its parts. Thanks Larry!

Pours a deep mohagony, aroma of dried fruits and molasses. Flavor is complex with more of the aroma, along with a sharp carbonation. Letting it warm a few minutes, sugars and fruits are stronger with a nice clean finish. Really good beer.
