Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Pours a murky rusted mud colour with a small tan head that fades quick and produces no lacing. The nose emanates feet from the glass, ripe with fig, port, and candy sugar. The flavour more dry than the nose suggests, though it is still very sweet. This is a near perfect representation of an abbey dubbel. The raisins are evident in the flavour, though not overwhelmingly so. The finish is dry and a bit watery. The body is a little watery as well.

bottle. Have to start out by saying this is a cool bottle with a really cool cork. The taste is very belgian style which I am still trying to develop a pallete for. I am just having trouble getting over the amount of carbonation in these styles. Complex, but cleaner then other belgians.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber-brown with a thin cream colored head. Rich, sweet and spicy aroma, of malt, dark fruits, preserved citrus, cloves, cardamom, raisins. Taste is sweet and malty, with fruits and spices, and a hint of banana. Lingering malty sweetness. Very tasty and drinkable.

Bottle from trade with kramer17801. Pours a hazy, orangish amber color with a fair size off white head. Aroma is pleasently sweet with all of the malts. Taste of caramel, spices and fermented fruit. No hint of alcohol that I could detect. Has a light yeasty finish. Very nice, easy to drink brew overall.

Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Poured a dark brown with sediment. Smelled fruity in flavor and there was a ton of carbonation. Tasted of dark fruits and brown sugar. Well done brew by Lost Abbey.

Poured a reddish brown with a big creamy off white head. Aroma of malt and raisins. Good sweet malt flavor with some raisins. Sweet but not overly sweet. Very drinkable.
