Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Poured a reddish brown with a big creamy off white head. Aroma of malt and raisins. Good sweet malt flavor with some raisins. Sweet but not overly sweet. Very drinkable.

Shared w/ Exec board courtesy of Juart. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a reddish hue. Nose of raisins and some spice. A little bit of yeast and a lot of malt sweetness. Very malty flavor. Sweet raisins and fig with a nice bitter finish. A really good body that is kind of syrupy and very little carbonation.

Pours a murky cola brown with very little head. Great aroma of dried fruits - figs, raisins (surprise, surprise). Flavor and palate are disappointing. It feels as if the aggressive carbonation (which came as a surprise due to the lack of a head) drowns out the best of its flavor, which offers faint notes of the same dried fruits, along with a bit of molasses. It gets a little better as it warms, but for how dark it is, this one drinks like a blonde. Left me wanting more.

Dark with red, ruddy highlights. The nose is thick and cloying; full of dates and raisins. The raisin flavor is prominent, but it is definately at dubbel at heart. I am not fond of raisins, so I wish I could have this beer w/o them. I think a plain dubbel from the Lost Abbey would be great. Too bad.

Bottle. Dark amber pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of raisins, yeast and plum. Taste of bread, yeast caramel and spices with a great finish.

750 mL corked bottle. Poured hazy brownish red. Dissapointingly undercarbonated, appeared flat. Yeast and other sediment visible at the bottom of the glass. Flavor is fantastic, loaded with sweet malt, figs, and tons of raisins and some slight fruity esters. Just a touch of warming alcohol evident. Definitely worth revisiting.

Bottle. Murkey, earthy brown pour with a small off white head. smells like raisons and fruit. Taste is raisons and fruit with some alcohol in the back. Not bad.
