Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Bottle via Bmartin08!! Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is raisins, prunes, plums, caramel. Flavor is figs, brown sugar, dried dark fruits, some chocolate, and some spice. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, sweet malty finish. This is a great brew, some alcohol warmth, and hoppy notes in the finish.

Pours dark amber brown w/ a full semi creamy froth. Aroma of dried dark fruits and malt. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are rich and malty. Strong and dense w/ dried dark fruit flavors including tobacco, black cherry, plumb, peach, grapes, leather, roasted coffee bean, vanilla bean, tart cocoa, and spice. Finishes w/ heavy fruit and a slight bittering. Overall: strong flavored and dense like a jungle of fruit trees. Very Belgian. Well done.

Ginormous bottle, I guess it’s the 750ml that others mentioned. I have been sick and so this is my first real beer in a while. There are alot of complex things happening with this puppy, molases, carmel, raisen, prune, date, fig and much more. (updated) I originally rated this while it was cold from the frig, wow, it is definetely much better at room temp. I like my IPA’s cold, still learning how to drink the Belgian styles at room temp, this is a winner in that regard!

Bottle from realale420. Dark brown with tan colored head. Plums, rasins, figs, and caramel aroma. The taste was the same and very smooth. Soft, dare I say delicate mouthful. I would have rated this beer higher but as it warmed it took on an almost pepper like flavor. Thanks, Brian

Rated blind from "Better Know a Style: Abbey Dubbel" tasting. Dark brown, some rubiness, small off-white creamy head. Aroma is doughy with alc. Flavor is yeasty, dough, red and dark fruit, and alc. Thin to medium body and creamy. Pretty nice.

750ML Bottle purchased at City Beer in San Francisco. Served at 59 degrees F. The pour: spritzy, murky brown color. Head: appropirate for the style, but collapses rather quickly. The bouquet: indeed yeasty, with strong notes of figs and raisins. The palate: estery, fruity, with nice hoppiness in the finish. Enjoyed it with Romeo & Juliet- (Brazilian Goiabada & Catupiry Cheese)

Opaque reddish-brown. Aroma of plum, orange, raisin, some sweet brown sugar and caramel malts. Fairly clean but yeasty. The carbonation is a bit zippy. Finishes with raisin notes, alcohol heat and a hint of peachiness.
