Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Poured a murky red brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of raisins, cherries, caramel malt, roast, and a bit of yeast. Taste of caramel, cherries, vanilla, a bit of roast, with more yeast, candy sugar, spices, and light alcohol in the finish.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy brown color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry fruits and candi sugar is quite enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by some sweet malt with candi sugar and some notes of dry figs and raisins are also noticeable. Body is quite full with some good carbonation and no alcohol was discernable. I thought this was well done overall but lacked some complexities to take it to a greater level.

Red amber with a small off-white head. Aromaq has bready malt, some raisin and a touch of berries, that could be raspberry. Dry and smooth malty flavour.

rating 500. rich cherry wood color. opaque and thick-looking. aroma takes me straight back to belgium. super candi sugar aroma. fruit + figgy flavor. tiny tiny bit thin. a bit overcarbonated as well. actually a surprising amount of alcohol character for 7% but it complements it well.

Dark brown beer with a thin white head. Impressively fruity aroma of plums/prunes, toast, banana and melon. Some tapioca sweetness as well. Brown sugar and loads of toasted malt. Fruity flavour with cherry/berry, plums and banana. A hint of herbal hoppiness on the back that keep it from being cloying. Lovely sweet beer.

Dark plum color with a lighter head. Aroma of raisin, prune, candy sugar. Flavor is sugary with a nice raisin-date-prune essence. Smooth feel a pretty good Dubbel.

9/19/2008: Lost Abbey Lost & Found pours a hazy, golden borwn color with a tan head. The aroma has caramel, slight fruit and spice and the flavor is malty, fruity, and quite yeasty with some brown sugar in the middle and raisin in the finish. No alcohol can be detected. It has a medium to medium-full body, a smoot texture, and creamy mouthfeel. Overall this is a very good beer!

1 pint 9.4 fl. oz. corked and caged bottle (Alc. 8.0% by Vol.). Rating #426 for this beer.
