Slightly sweet yeasty aromas, along with some earthy/dusty notes. Very rich dark fruit flavors right up front. A fair amount of yeastiness. Really smooth, flavorful dubbel. On tap@O’Brien’s: The color of prune juice with a purple tinge and just a wisp of foam that fades to a halo. Aroma is red wine and a wiff of banana. Flavor has a light sweet start with some spice and yeast, some port a hint of bubble gum and banana with a tangy dry finish. Light to medium bodied and smooth with lively carbonation.

Easy malting with a yeasty-sourness more reminiscent of a sour-brown ale piqued by notes of figs. Body is a flavorful medley of figs, caramel malts and some mild sour-yeasty notes.
