Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

750ml bottle, purchased during the summer at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA, before it was available all over SD. Christmas Day Drinking with a pal, bottle 2. Pours opaque cloudy brown with a thing white head. Aroma has hints of sugar and dried fruit. The taste is sweet and full bodied with a nice bit of dried fruit. Really quite tasty.

draft- real dark brown, yellow head, wild yeasty aroma, bannanas, cherrys. Sour taste, pretty decent, but not my favorite style.

[261-20070413] 1pt9.4floz (c/o HogTownHarry, w/ him, blankboy, jerc, mds, tupalev). Deep barrel wine-grape richness in the aroma with not unpleasant light plastic background notes. Hazy, brown orange body with a medium-lasting bubbly creamy off-white head. Tastes like sweet candied booze with light caramel and floral notes. Medium-full boozy body. Super alcohol with strange candy is an interesting blend.

Thanks to badgerben for sharing. Nicely balanced malt and hops on the nose with plenty of raisin, fig, and other dark fruit characteristics. Similar body with the alcohol burning through.

Bottle. Aroma of sweet malt, belgian yeast, spices, bubblegum, and brown sugar. Flavor is similar, dominated by the malt and spices. Decent dubbel.

Tasted at Lost Abbey tasting room. Brown with thin white head. Sweet candy and raisin aroma. Taste of raisin, some sourness, and a slightly alcoholic finish.

Poured from tap at the brewery. Huge diacetyl nose and flavor. Normally considered a deficiency, but I liked it because of the magnitude. Great lacing and head. Reddish color. Sweet malty and light bitterness.
