Commercial Description:
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Thanks to awaisanen for the trade. Pours a deep brown with some nice chestnut/ruby red highlights and a medium creamy light tan lacing head. Aroma of raisins, hard candy, banana, nuts, figs, citrus, floral, some caramel, light chocolate, Belgian spices and yeast...just a very nice complex Dubbel aroma. Flavor of yeast, chocolate malt, raisins and other dark fruits. Also picking up some caramel, toffee and nuts.

From a 1pt 9.4 l bottle. Brown rust pour with small light brown diminishing creamy head, not much lacing, smells like a hint of hazelnut, brown sugar and dried and candied fruits such as figs and raisons (just like the bottle description depicts,) light carbonation, creamy to syrupy texture, full body, initial brown sugar sweetness light spice and a bit of a nutty average lasting finish, but as it warmed the finish became alcoholic, however, this is not too strong of a brew. Although not a belian trappist it is almost on the level. I love Dubbels and this one is very much worth trying.

22oz bottle from greater Seattle area. I enjoyed this beer. translucent amber with tall foamy head. taste had fruit up front (pear?) and mild bitterness. sweetness was moderate compared to other beers in the abbey ale style. only con was that it was expensive compared to other top US brewers.

Dark copper/red/brown with an enormous head that took forever to settle, as if it were just testing my petience. Solid retention and very nice lacing. Dark fruits like raising, plums, and figs dominate the aroma, supported by candy sugar and yeast. Flavors are similar - a very pleasant sweetness with a certain fruit tartness and a spiciness characteristic of the style. Medium body, high level of carbonation, very smooth mouthfeel, and the sweetness of the aftertaste is accompanied by a wonderful warming alcohol presence. I really enjoyed this.
