Poured a hazy golden-orange color with a thick, dense white head that slowly receded to a layer and left nice lacing. Aroma of yeast, some light wheat/straw, citrus (orange peel, light lemon, and apricot), some light barnyard, and floral hops. Crisp, lightly funky entry with some straw and soft undertones of orange and lemon with a hint of peppery spice leading into a dry yeasty finish with some lightly spicy, floral hops and a touch of fruitiness. Crisp and dry on the palate, something it seems a lot of American saisons aren’t. Very nice beer, and thanks again Alan. I need to get my hands on another bottle or 2. Dry, barnyard aroma, with hints of leather, horse, dough, with some spiciness as well. Solid flavor composition. Well made, with hints of spice, pepper, farmhouse. It’s not a complex beer, but a nicely crafted offering. pantanap (1369), Chicago, Illinois, USA
