| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 31, 2009 In short: An extra-refreshing hoppy barnyard blonde Saison. A fantastic thirst-quencher.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed when about 4 to 6 months of age. Bottles sent to me by kegbear, mega-thanks Craig.
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a very small but persistent white head
In long: Nose is medium barnyard/wild. Taste is not intense but has a lot of delicately complex. Moderately yeasty, garden flowers, some orange peels, white pepper, a slice of banana, medium funky/barnyard, a touch of coriander, a bit of green apples. This is a very hoppy saison. Not much bitterness but the spicy lemony hops provide a nice spicy dryness with a dry dead cut grass flavour. Lively carbonation. Medium astringency. Hard to describe really because its main quality is its drinkability. This truly is a thirst-quencher, and an extremely classy one. If it wasn’t for me taking notes I would have gone through the 750ml in less than 10 minutes. This beer is really highly drinkable. Would this beer be any more highly drinkable then... it would be really highly highly drinkable

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 30, 2009 750mL Bottle. This beer reeks of fresh, dank red-thread panama pot. Fresh and weedy. Hoppy. Very dupont-like. Pours a clear golden, touch of haze, with a really lacy, lacy white head. Flavor is really amazing and crisp. There’s so much flavor and it’s so authentic. Tons of dense, cracker-heavy pilsener, followed by a great wallop of hop bitterness and pithy oils. Then the grace of Saison yeasts, with that curt phenolic dryness that makes these beer so palatable and balanced. This is amazing and really classic. Fantastic. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Bottle, thanks to Beerhugger. Slightly hazy light gold, fluffy white head, nice lacing. Nose is hay-like malt, lemon, yeast. Flavor is lemony, yeast, more bitter than expected. Some hay-like spring maltiness. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

Incredibly smooth saison. Very bready and yeasty with some spice. Good dry finish. Pretty badass. dchmela (1440), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Bottle courtesy Boltz7555. Light honey yellow pour with a huge white fluffy head. Citrus hop aroma with hints of licorice and earthiness. Crisp light malt body, lemony earthy pepper taste. Finishes a little crisp and bitter. Such a nice light low abv beer with tons of flavor. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Courtesy of Chris and Merideth (thanks guys!) This is a very hazy brew with a gigantic poofy head. This drinks with the impression of a much bigger beer than the 5.5% it says it is. Lemony-tart with a quiet but discernable peppery kick at the finish. (#3517, 2/20/2009) WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 20, 2009 More intense than I expected from a Saison. Big Tripel appearance ... cloudy golden body, firm white head, classic Tripel "lemon meringue pie" appearance. Nose of bread and yeast and malts. Flavor of bread and yeast and malts, fruity Karmeliet Tripel orange blossm notes, then a dry and woody Brett finish. Should be about a 3.9 but then certainly worthy of extra points to get that much flavor in a beer under 6% ABV. jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 16, 2009 Bottle from Snojerk. Feel like I have been drinking a lot of saison’s and related beers lately. This one is pretty solid and has more of the citrus flavor bent. Pour is clear yellow and comes with a big foamy white head. Crisp aroma with some pilsner malt, toasted grain in there. Flavor again is bitter lemon and a grassy bitter finish. Relatively quick on the finish but a nice and refreshing drink.
