Feb 5, 2009 Golden color with a pleasantly puffy white head. Aroma has some nice citrus and gentle hops with a bit of sour, a bit of spice, and a slight bit of yeast. Flavor is just a bit sour with gentle citrus hops, crisp acidity, breadiness. and a tart finish. Really good stuff.

Jan 31, 2009 Many thanks to notalush for sharing this one. Pale yellow-gold beer. Creamy white head. Cloudy and a little bit hazy. Soft wheaty spiciness. A bit of mintiness and soft lemony citrus. Light herbal hoppiness. Spicy and fruity with a soft wheaty lemony character. A very light bitterness, but with a soft Belgian pale malt character. A light clove and a bit of peppery flavour. There is also a bit of sweet pear flavour. Soft earthiness. Really lovely yeasty flavour. This is very tasty stuff.

Jan 31, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of lemon, citrus, funk, bread, yeast. Flavor is sweet and spicy with notes of bread, yeast, honey, caramel, some funk. Generally medium body with a slightly sweet finish.

Jan 29, 2009 Pours deep hazy gold with straw edges and thin white head. The smell is fruity sweet with apples and pears to go along with spices and a bit of yeast. The taste is similar with mild tartness moving toward apricots, pears and grape fruity sweetness. There’s a background of growing tartness mixing with funk. Midway and to the finish I get rich sweet apples and mild spices. Smooth easy drinking brew.

Jan 25, 2009 Thanks to bgramer for the bottle - pours a turbid gold, with a sudsy head that is quite lasting - tangy, citrus aroma, with a subtle wild character, and background peppery hops - very full in the mouth - slightly peppery up front, followed by a moderate wheaty tang and light phenols - a bit of orange through the middle - lingering citrus peel and herbal bitterness on the tail end - quite a nice, quaffable saison.

Jan 24, 2009 Moderate sized white head. Nice, cloudy yellow appearance that I expect from the style. Lots of yeast, brett, some barnyard, horseblanket character. A little sour. Good, solid saison.

Jan 22, 2009 Received 750 ml bottle via trade with 5000. Pours a hazy golden brew with a decent white head that slowly dissipates to a creamy top and spotty lacing. Aroma of barnyard funk, yeast, a touch of citrus and some honey. Taste is spritzy, with more yeast funk, white pepper, citrus and some herbal spice. Finish is semi-dry with a lingering yeast and spice aftertaste. Nice bitter finish too.
