Pours a miky golden/yellow with a medium bubbly white head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of this wonderful floral, orange peel, light Saison spiciness, hints of some funkiness, fresh hops, tropical fruits, pepper and sweet maltiness. Flavor was hoppier than I was expecting, bready, peppery, tons of citrus, light grapefruit, moderate hop bitterness. Very well done! egajdzis (3636), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of tropical fruits, hay, floral hops, citrus, and white pepper. Taste of vanilla, tropical fruits, honey, hay, flowers, citrus fruits, white pepper, and a dry finish. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Slightly hazy straw color with a white head that has excellent retention and leaves layers of lacing around the glass. Smell is of hay, clove, lemon, tangerine, coriander, and musty grass. Clove and earthy flavors at the forefront, quickly developing notes of tangerine, coriander, and dough before a spritzy citrus and clove finish. Firm carbonation, medium to high level, paired with a light body. I don’t think I actually like this beer as much as my rating shows, but I have to give credit for a great appearance and mouthfeel. Thanks to Weibull for the bottle. chrisafari (100), Orange, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Aroma of fruit (green/sour apple) and spice (easters), background of floral hops. Pours hazy golden with fluffy/rocky white head with nice lacing. Flavor begins with nice citrus. Middle flavor is subtle pepper/spice and finishes with a nice hop/dry throat. Nice balance between the spicy hops/spices and the subtle malt. Medium body with nice carbonation, leaves the throat dry and slightly salty. Very drinkable and refreshing Saison. bhensonb (4365), Woodland, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Drug. Hazy orange golden color with a fluffy, creamy off-white head. Aromas of mild spice, mild light fruits and mild funk. Medium body with foamy, creamy carbonation. Flavor is astringent spice, some coriander?, some funk. It is both sweet and lightly sour. It is both hoppy and funky. It is a masterpiece. I think there’s a touch of apricot in the finish. I could go on and on. marcus (1896), Sacramento, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 17, 2008 This hazy golden beer poured with a beautiful fluffy white head and a fruity aroma. Ah, now this is a saison. There is a delicate bittersweet floral taste followed by a thick spice finish that remains on the palate for a while. Very nice. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 30, 2009 750mL Bottle. This beer reeks of fresh, dank red-thread panama pot. Fresh and weedy. Hoppy. Very dupont-like. Pours a clear golden, touch of haze, with a really lacy, lacy white head. Flavor is really amazing and crisp. There’s so much flavor and it’s so authentic. Tons of dense, cracker-heavy pilsener, followed by a great wallop of hop bitterness and pithy oils. Then the grace of Saison yeasts, with that curt phenolic dryness that makes these beer so palatable and balanced. This is amazing and really classic. Fantastic. Thanks Andy! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 31, 2009 In short: An extra-refreshing hoppy barnyard blonde Saison. A fantastic thirst-quencher.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed when about 4 to 6 months of age. Bottles sent to me by kegbear, mega-thanks Craig.
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a very small but persistent white head
In long: Nose is medium barnyard/wild. Taste is not intense but has a lot of delicately complex. Moderately yeasty, garden flowers, some orange peels, white pepper, a slice of banana, medium funky/barnyard, a touch of coriander, a bit of green apples. This is a very hoppy saison. Not much bitterness but the spicy lemony hops provide a nice spicy dryness with a dry dead cut grass flavour. Lively carbonation. Medium astringency. Hard to describe really because its main quality is its drinkability. This truly is a thirst-quencher, and an extremely classy one. If it wasn’t for me taking notes I would have gone through the 750ml in less than 10 minutes. This beer is really highly drinkable. Would this beer be any more highly drinkable then... it would be really highly highly drinkable
