darkguardian (223), Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 22oz bottle. Thanks to mgumby for bringing this great saison. Great nose, with some pepper yeast and coriander as well as some citrus from the hops and a clove. Cloudy straw color with a puffy foamy head. Flavor is very complex and very much an american twist. Pepper and orange peel with bits of coriander and clove. Some floral resiny hops which are tempered by a lightly tart sweet finish. Terrific beer thats easy to drink and light on the palate (though it drops the rating, in my opinion thats not a bad thing for this beer at all). Really nice american saison!
