EBF 09, Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Really tart with hints of lemon and orange. This beer is all about the funk. Awesome lambic.

Sample @ EBF ’09 - Wow, Wow, WOW! Pours a hazy gold with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is heavy sour, with detectable citrus and brett. Taste is FUNK with a citrus and lemon zest characteristic up front dissolving into that unmistakable and utterly sublime lambic sourness. The beer is wonderfully smooth, and just a home run on all fronts.

tap at Toronado. Pours with a golden to yellow color. Very tart with mainly citrusy flavors. Body is thin to medium. A bit one dimensional since lemon and citrus is all there is but still quite good.

Tasted on tap at the Red Poppy 09 release, didn’t take notes so I’ll post a poor rating of an awesome beer. Deep gold with some white foam, smells sour and funky, lemon rind I definitely remember, taste was mouth puckering sour and dry, lots of sour citrus and long, lingering finish. Brighter and fruitier than other lambics I’ve had. Delicious. Oh, it’s not still but gently and beautifully sparkling.

Another one on tap at the Red Poppy release. Pours a cloudy orange with no head other than a white ring. Decent nose, kinda funky with lots of citrus and some green apple. Flavor is acidic vinegar (but not too much), lots of oranges and cherries, and again green apple. Perfectly tart and somewhat dry. Smooth and lightly carbonated. Tasty stuff. Rating #50! I’m special now.

On tap at the brewery for the Red Poppy release. Pours a clear golden color with a light orange tint. A small off white ring for a head. Very funky nose of barnyard, vinegar, unripened fruits. Flavor was quite tart with some vinegar and funky undertones. I have not tried many lambics, I think I might have ruined myself for all others with this one!

Poured a dark yello/light orange, not much head, but a sturdy ring of white at the top none the less. Funky aromas. Flavors of unripe strawberry, and other tart berries. Not puckering, went down surprisingly smooth for the style. Super good!

On tap at Red Poppy release. Light orange with tiny white head. Funky aroma. Tastes of apple cider vinegar, some sweetness mixed in. Funkyness comes through strong. A beautiful piece of brewers art.
